Re: How to draw 3D in AutoCAD While I could likely give y'all a scrap more than info than this, it's likely of import I enquire this question first every bit information technology might generate a more informed response from a person in a specific field: What type of cartoon are yous looking to do? Will information technology be Mechanical, Architectural, etc?

Re: How to draw 3D in AutoCAD If I remember correctly from my old 3d AutoCAD days, if you lot have drawn the "programme" in a polyline, then that may be extuded to course your footing of the 3d model.

This is only one way, there are endless others equally many more imformed than I will aid...

Re: How to draw 3D in AutoCAD The very basis from which to begin, is to learn to work with Ten, Y and Z axes... 3D Space. The type of industry you are working in will determine to a degree the manner in which y'all create your models, just no matter what type of industry it is for, it is important to exist able to work inside three dimensional infinite. Get your head effectually the nuts of using 3D geometry (cylinders, boxes, spheres, cones, donuts), drawing using the 0,0,0 (10,Y,Z) annotation, the use of faces, extrusions, paths and planes, and creating compound geometry using improver, subtraction, and union (although I would suggest steering articulate of this as much equally possible if you intend exporting large models to MAX / VIZ as face and vertex counts increase drastically)
In the end, it is all these and chip a more than that you will be using, just one time you have the basics down, you'll be able to pick up on the rest with practice.
